WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Business HR Manager will serve as the primary strategic BHR partner for the Structural Heart U.S. manufacturing sites. You will establish, build, and maintain strong relationships with site employees, supervisors, managers, and site leadership to enhance workforce performance by supporting employee development, planning strategic HR initiatives, and serving as a consultant on all general HR issues while developing and implementing HR strategies to meet organizational needs at our manufacturing sites.
Responsible for the diagnosis, development and delivery of HR strategies to meet the needs of our U.S. manufacturing sites (aligned with overall divisional strategies). Develop proposals and recommendations to resolve strategically important issues such as:
Forecast and develop talent strategies that meet operating plan objectives
Assess financial implications of headcount models and develop multi-year headcount plans
Assess current organizational designs for effectiveness and efficiency
Recruiting and retaining strategies for each location
Assess site effectiveness and culture and identify issues/needs
Manage delivery of HR services across our U.S. manufacturing sites, providing HR process training, communication, and implementation support.
Be the ambassador of the HR organization to represent the services and resources available to the employees/managers and help manage the collective reputation of the HR organization as a whole.
Responsible for HR results in the business, including employee satisfaction, HR effectiveness and associated financial results. Responsible for site-level talent review processes (strategy, discussions, data gathering) for each U.S. site.
Partners with managers to maintain job descriptions, career paths/hierarchies, and employee data management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Bachelors Degree within HR Management, Psychology/Org Psychology, or other related business/social degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Minimum 9 years HR related experience
Solid knowledge of employment laws and regulations governing HR programs in each state of our manufacturing sites, and in coordination with Abbott HR policies and programs.
Project management or operations/manufacturing site experience.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously within a highly matrixed environment
Strong change management and org development skills
Demonstrated ability to build consultative, collaborative relationships with managers and workers at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to identify and assess human capital needs and work collaboratively to develop and implement value-added solutions.
Strong communication and organizational skills
PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certifications preferred, but not required.
