A Vice President level HR professional within the Morgan Stanley Australia HR team, this role provides HR support to senior management within the Morgan Stanley Australia Front Office BU's (excluding Wealth Management) and Infrastructure groups. The role interfaces with the Business Unit heads and senior management team as well as employees within the organization. Overall the role provides support on complex human resources, management and employee relations issues. The role is accountable for managing the cyclical HR activities for the client groups, including Year End Performance & Remuneration reviews, as well as developing and driving key initiatives for the business in areas such as the Learning & Development, Succession planning and talent management (attraction and retention) and the Diversity space. The role also partners with senior HR Business Partners and HR Specialist leads across the Asia Pacific region, in addition to managing a 450YNHRBP.
A Vice President within the Australia HR team is a trusted advisor to the senior management of the business, has sound judgment, solid relationship building skills, business acumen and a desire to grow and succeed. At the VP level you are required to develop and drive key people initiatives that enable the business to better execute on its overall strategy, manage projects in partnership with business stakeholders and provide guidance and mentorship to the broader members of the Australia HR team.
Advisor to business unit heads and senior management.
Provide strategic HR advice and counsel to clients across the HRBP group.
Work proactively with the Talent Acquisition team and Managers on lateral recruitment, including identifying and selecting appropriate sources of candidates and effective sourcing of lateral hires
Partner the Talent Acquisition team and assist set strategy for Campus hiring efforts
Manage complex employee relations issues and partner with the ER team as needed
Provide support and feedback to managers on performance management and other employee issues.
Advise and coach managers across a wide range of employee relations issues independently, taking into account best practice, legislative framework and commercial outcomes. This includes liaison with in-house Legal advisors where necessary.
Influence managers and work with them to deal effectively and appropriately with the management of a range of performance, conduct and compliance issues.
Diversity & Inclusion/Year End Compensation/Talent Development and Talent Management
Take accountability for and manage the annual compensation review process
Manage the global Year End talent review processes, e.g. goal setting, 360 performance management cycle, and Year End performance reviews.
Manage the talent management reviews across the respective client groups focusing on partnering Senior Leaders in the creation of robust succession plans and development of key development plans for key talent across the business.
Partnering with Learning and Development team to ensure appropriate training is delivered to employees.
Assist in the development and implementation of best in class Diversity and Inclusion initiatives across the BU's.
Provide Leaders with robust metrics, aimed at enabling optimized Human Capital related decisions and headcount planning.
Provide the business with relevant metrics for any projects or key initiatives.
Provide guidance and support to HRBP team members in Australia
Engage and drive different people management projects across Australia as per the direction of the Head of HR.
