Full-Time, Nonexempt, Hourly, Market Range 04, Starting hourly rate range $15.00-$20.00 based on education and experience
This position reports to the Director of Finance and Administration (DFA) in the College of Communication and Information (CCI) serving as the financial and human resources (HR) specialist for the College. This position primary responsibilities include accounts payable, human resource/human capital functions, travel, compliance and training. This position coordinates and performs complex daily activities and operations of the finance and administration office in CCI. This position provides the DFA with recommendations for financial and HR process changes. This position has access to sensitive information and the holder must have the utmost discretion and confidentiality of materials and data. This position must be able to work independently and complete tasks accurately and on-time.
Manages new hire paperwork (including e-verification process) for part-time (on-site and remote) faculty hires, student assistants and graduate assistants
Initiates faculty hire paperwork
Assists Business manager with IRIS personnel and position changes
Initiates IRIS termination & checkout process
Works with CCI Administrative Assistants to order supplies for new hires
Coordinates with CCI Directors to complete H1B or other international student/employee
Maintains CCI HR Files (PD's, etc)
Helps CCI Administrative Assistants Develop and Implement CCI On-Boarding Process
Invoices: posts/enters payment invoices for the all of CCI
Transfer Vouchers: complete internal and external transfer vouchers
Maintains, requests and updates Vendor Files
Presents material to the college related to accounts payable/receivable/travel,etc.
Acts as back up to the CCI Business Manager for account ledger reconciliation (especially with deposits)
Collects and review biweekly and monthly payroll register for Business Manager review
Enters additional pays (including summer school pay) as directed by Director of Finance and Administration
CONCUR subject matter expert: train and advise users on CONCUR travel system
Delegates for all CCI employees to assist with entering and process travel
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance and Administration
