PRMO: Established in 2001, Patient Revenue Management Organization (PRMO) is a fully integrated, centralized revenue cycle organization supporting all of Duke Health, including Duke University Hospital, Duke Regional Hospital, Duke Raleigh Hospital, the Private Diagnostic Clinic, and Duke PrimaryCare. The PRMO focuses on streamlining the revenue cycle through enhanced management of scheduling, registration, coding, HIM operations, billing, collections, cash management, and customer service. Our PRMO organization is looking for a creative Human Resources Business Partner who communicates proactively and effectively and drives change. The person in this role should be able to provide consultation on HR best practices and policy, as well as successfully balance the needs of our employees and the objectives of the business. The ideal candidate should have strategic experience in at least two of the following areas: Career Pathing, Hiring/Retention Strategy, Employee Development, Job Automation and Pay Strategy.
Workforce Strategic Planning Business Partner Consultant- 50 %
Proactively serve as an effective HR Business Partner through collaboration and consultation related to Workforce Planning. Provides options/possibilities based on best practices to the assigned workforce strategic priority teams consisting of entity executives, operational and corporate leaders as well as subject matter experts. Work with entity HR leadership in aligning and socializing workforce planning outcomes and providing periodic workforce team's updates.
Operation Business Partner Consultant 30%
Understand the operational business priorities of the assigned executive leader in order to focus on the required Human Resource consultation. Collaborate with executive leader to establish accountability standards for handling employee relations inquiries, conflict resolution, performance management and disciplinary action for the assigned areas as well agree ways to measure the accountability standards. Seek ways to improve tools resources and communication with the assigned team (employees and management). Track and report on operational project status specific to the designated area or system level. Promote the use of data and existing dashboards.
Communication and Education 10%
Facilitate and prepare informative and pertinent presentations to include but not limited to the following:
Leadership/Management Orientation presentations, process improvements, and technology enhancements.
PRMO Leadership/Employee meetings
Escalate resource and barrier needs to CHRO/HR AD as needed. Collaborate and share responsibilities amongst HR team members to meet the strategic and operational business needs.
Reporting, Teamwork Time Management 10 %
Consistently prepare accurate and timely reports to include analysis and trends. Continuously communicates and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders. Assess time management strategies needed to meet strategic and operational priorities as well assigned projects.
BA/BS degree in Human Resources or related field required.
At least two years previous Human Resources experience in a generalist or business partner capacity, preferably in a healthcare/hospital environment.
HR certification preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and Outlook
Experience with SAP preferred
Exceptional interpersonal, relationship management and communication skills with a proven record of influencing others, and collaborating across multiple operations and corporate support functions.
Functional knowledge and experience in progressive HR project work experience preferred including project management and implementation skills.
Knowledge of compensation, performance management, and engagement preferred.
Proven track record of building strong relationships vertically and horizontally within an organization.
Skillful in listening and ascertaining the needs and concerns of people and in communicating information concerning processes, policies, and procedures with accuracy and clarity.
Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
Ability to analyze data and identify trends and patterns and create innovative solutions.
Ability to handle competing priorities, organize and prioritize work and adapt comfortably to interrupted work flow.
Must be responsive, action-oriented, and innovative problem solver.
Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions based on data and statistics and to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
