Within the IU School of Medicine, HR provides consulting and coaching as well as high-level assurance with university policies and procedures. We are the primary provider of HR services for the IU School of Medicine in the following areas:
Performance/ Talent Management
HR Business Partners serve as the primary consultant to our leaders on all HR related matters and help align HR strategies with management outcomes. This advanced level role is perfect for the experienced HR professional who excels at relationship building and is eager to be part of a transformative effort of delivering HR services to a growing and evolving team committed to the advancement of innovative healthcare and technologies, world-changing research, and the education of our next generation leaders, researchers, and healthcare providers.
In this key role, you will provide dedicated HR support to our Division of Plastic Surgery with focused effort to The Indiana Center for Regenerative Medicine and Engineering which is a multidisciplinary research center focused on the development of novel technologies that regenerate cells and tissues affected by age, disease, damage or congenital effects, ultimately leading to wound care and healing for patients in Indiana and beyond.

Utilizes and applies in-depth HR body of knowledge and skills to provide strategic guidance for HR related matters like salary administration, hiring, training, policy interpretation, unit restructures, workforce planning, etc.
Resolves and provides solutions to the most complex employee relations issues with continued partnership, counsel, and support from COEs.
Develops, implements, and drives recruiting strategies to meet current and/or anticipated staffing needs.
Coaches and partners with leaders to create actionable plans for improving leadership effectiveness and continuous improvement for employee engagement.
Provides strategic HR consulting and problem-solving solutions on complex issues to leaders and managers to ensure alignment and consistency across the University.
Provides advice to leadership for development in support of a strong human capital strategy .
Collaborates with HR COEs to roll out and support University wide initiatives, ensure client's needs are understood and met, and deliver change management interventions.
Partners to create and execute on ensuring an environment of diversity and inclusion.
Bachelor's degree required
Degree in Human Resources
7 years of progressively responsible experience in multiple HR disciplines or related
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
