Provides leadership and direction to the Human Resources department for the college.
Develops, interprets, and administers personnel policies.
Provides direction relating to employee relations and grievance issues.
Administers the employment process to include recruitment, onboarding, wage and salary administration, retirement/resignation, and other personnel actions.
Oversees employee benefits to include new hire benefits orientation, benefits administration and open enrollment, leaves of absence, and worker's compensation.
Coordinates the performance management system for college employees.
Coordinates wage and salary information.
Manages FMLA, worker's compensation, and unemployment functions.
Serves on committees at local and system levels, as requested and completes assigned projects for Executive Team.
Oversees the maintenance of employee records utilizing digital format (OnBase).
Oversees data entry and maintenance of HRMS (PeopleSoft).
Assists Vice President of Administration and performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree (Human Resources, Business, or related field) and five years of related work experience, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (Human Resources, Business, or related field) and five years of related work experience. Experience to include HR related functions and supervisory/leadership experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills and computer skills including Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft or other HRMS software is also preferred.
