Job Type: Staff Job Description: The KCU HR Recruiter leads and executives the full life cycle talent acquisition strategies and processes for faculty and staff positions on the Kansas City and Joplin campuses. Delivering a service oriented experience to hiring managers and candidates, the recruiter meets the hiring needs and challenges in support of the University's strategic growth plans.

Talent planning, sourcing, screening, selection, closing and onboarding top talent
Leverage sourcing strategies to attract candidates using recruiting boards, social media, referral networks and community organizations to build and nurture talent pools with a great emphasis on diversity.
Deliver against hiring needs supporting strategic growth plans
Consult with leaders (executive leaders, hiring managers, Finance department) on a regular basis to review hiring plans and recruitment strategies for each position, including both newly created and replacement positions.
Provide high touch experienceto hiring managers and candidates
Build and maintain relationships with leaders, hiring managers, candidates and internal partners through consistent and professional communication means.
Coach and train hiring managers on recruitment, interview and selection processes and provide recommendations for improvement and efficiency.
Highly engage candidates throughout entire process starting from proactively sourcing them or their application through onboarding and beyond.
Nurture my own network, continue to pipeline strong talent, maintain strong technical knowledge of recruiting best practices and trends.
Prefer the knowledge typically obtained through a bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
Previous experience recruiting in Higher Education or a health-related field is helpful.
The ability to conduct and organize different types of interviews,
Experience with recruitment processes and applicant tracking databases.
The ability to design and implement recruiting strategies.
Excellent communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Good decision-making skills.
A working knowledge of employment law and legislation.
