MaineHealth is seeking a Senior Corporate Communications Manager in Portland. The Senior Corporate Communications Manager-HR develops, manages and executes strategic communications plans supporting system wide Human Resources initiatives in alignment with department, stakeholder and organizational goals. The successful candidate is an exceptional writer with a strategic mindset who can translate complex information into accessible and persuasive content. Demonstrated experience creating, managing, implementing and measuring successful internal communications plans is required. Position will independently oversee management of specific functions of the department including internal, emergency, and leadership communications, as well as relationships with high-value stakeholders. Candidate must have demonstrated experience building strong cross-functional relationships at all levels of an organization, including executive leadership. HR communications experience highly desirable.
Bachelor's degree required. Master’s a plus with an emphasis in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations or related field preferred.
A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in marketing, planning, communications, public relations, market research, or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience in a health care setting. Project/process management, account management or related capabilities a plus. 2-3 plus years' supervisory experience preferred.
Incumbent must have analytical skills and creative experience necessary to address targeted messages to a variety of audiences. Strong oral communications skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with others and to speak in public, listen effectively, interview and gather pertinent information from sources at all levels in the organization, and work with varying levels of staff.
Able to work well under pressure and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Must be flexible and adaptable to unexpected changes.
