Executive Support Specialist to the HR SVP/Chief People Officer

Reporting to the SVP Chief People Officer (CPO), the Executive Support Specialist will be responsible for several administrative, operational, and programmatic functions within the department of Human Resources, as well as providing primary support to the CPO related to scheduling, meeting development and planning, development of internal and external presentations, and development of internal communications on behalf of the CPO.
The Executive Support Specialist serves as a primary contact for the Office of the CPO and responds to high-level inquiries directed to the CPO and leads problem-solving and synthesizing proposed solutions. They will prepare documents and correspondence that may be highly confidential or politically sensitive in nature. They will staff senior level department meetings that are chaired by the CPO, to include high level searches and on-boarding of senior leaders, as well as confidential organization development initiatives when appropriate.
The functions of this role range and are focused on administrative matters related to program or project development and maintenance and individual executive support.
This role functions as liaison with other Institute executives, as well as external executives who interact with the office.?? The position requires the highest level of confidentiality as it relates to work and issues of the Institute and the trust of HR team and leadership.

Responsible for the day-to-day office operations
Monitors and assures timely completion of all performance evaluations.
Serves as primary project manager for CPO and drafts and/or edits key communications, memos, papers, and presentations.
Leads coordination of department activities and plans and coordinates special events.
Engages in extensive interaction with all levels of staff at the Institute as well as vendors and consultants.
Takes on special projects and assignments as needed.

Discretion and diplomacy in handling confidential information
Bachelor???s degree in Health Administration, Business Administration or related field is preferred.??
At least 5-7 years??? experience working in an academic medical/scientific research setting or comparable business environment preferred.
