This position's primary responsibility is to serve as an HR generalist performing tasks related, but not limited to, assisting candidates with the application process, advertising and posting open positions, answering questions about the staffing process that arise among managers in both staff and faculty.
The role also provides administrative support of the Human Resources office, which includes but is not limited to, completing I-9s and background checks, answering employee inquires in person, by phone or email, and monitoring the group HR email account. The selected candidate will work with other office staff as matters arise that need the attention of the Human Resource Department in order to provide excellent service to all members of the campus.
This position works closely with the Academic Affairs office and University Human Resources.
Part-time positions do not include medical and other benefits.
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: Human resources experience and/or coursework.
Working Conditions / Demands
Ability to lift 10 pounds. Sitting for extended periods is common. May be required to travel locally to a professional setting to staff, set up, and dissemble a job fair presentation 2-3 times per year. Must be able to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
The Office of Human Resources on the Southeast campus of Indiana University. Occasional remote work may be available.
$16 to $18 per hour based on experience and education.
