The Human Resources Associate (HRA) reports to the Director of Human Resources for the Graduate School of Business (GSB), and in coordination with fellow HRA, is responsible for the human resources administrative functions for the School. The HRA works closely with the school's HR Business Partners to support the administration of roughly 500 employees. The HRA partners directly with the University Human Resource's Transactions (HRT) team to deliver coordinated HR transaction services.
To be successful in this role, you will have advanced administrative and organization skills to design, automate and enable HR data insights and efficient electronic processes. In addition to supporting day-to-day payroll, staffing and system transactions, you will support a number of employee engagement and communication efforts. Please note that due to current COVID-19 safety measures, this position will work remotely until we return to onsite work. At that time, this role will be based at the main Stanford Campus
Your primary responsibilities include:
Employee Life Cycle Administration: Coordinate and execute the various administrative steps from job requisition to onboarding to exits for regular and temporary employees, ensuring department-wide transparency and compliance.
Data Management: Maintain the integrity of our digital employee records and provide quality control support to employee timecard administration.
Data Analytics: Build ad-hoc Oracle/BI reports and dashboards that the HR Business Partners can use to track DEI and other key metrics.
Process Improvement: Continuously assess workflow, finding opportunities to automate or digitize forms and signatures, leveraging best practices.
University Coordination: Provide local guidance and coordination in partnership with central university services: benefits, leaves, Workers Compensation and payroll.
Communications: Support the monthly distribution of HR Newsletter, update the HR section of MyGSB website, and maintain staff distribution lists.
Support general office administration and pitching in to support the team.
To be successful in this position, you will bring:
Quantifiable Professional Learning & Experience: Associate degree and two years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience. Documented continuous learning in the HR field.
Project Management: Ability to consistently follow through with projects and deadlines. Systematically anticipates roadblocks and offers solutions.
Proven Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to maintain confidentiality and effectively handle highly sensitive and personal information with sound judgment, tact, and discretion.
Customer Service: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong and effective interpersonal and customer service skills.

Experience or familiarity with the following computer platforms: Office, Google, Oracle/PeopleSoft, OpenText, AdobeSign, Taleo, Zoom
Prior experience with employee communications and updating website information
