HUMAN RESOUCES (HR) ADMINISTRATOR , Office of Strategic Alliances and Technology Transfer (OSATT)-Technology Licensing Office (TLO)-Operations, HR, Information Systems/Information Technology and Compliance Team , to be responsible for the management of HR-related administrative processes, ensuring the fulfillment of MIT HR policies and practices in the recruitment, retention, and management of TLO staff Will create and maintain an environment that welcomes all, encourages staff participation, and allows everyone to be heard as a means to achieve TLO's mission and to have an impact in the world through the translation of MIT technology into products and services; be responsible for all HR policy interpretation/administration and tasks necessary to support a large office, including job classifications, salary reviews and equity staff development, recruitment, employee relations, performance plans, rewards and recognition, onboarding of new employees, vacation tracking, exit and new employee interviews, semiannual performance reviews, FMLA/disability matters, and I-9 requirements; provide guidance on employee relations; and engage with central HR, HR staffing OSATT, and the Office of the Provost.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : bachelor's degree; four years' HR experience; experience working with a diverse group of staff; excellent problem-solving, project management, analytical, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills; proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, FileMaker) and data management; proven experience working both as part of a team and independently; and the ability to work across different departments and units on HR matter and to manage and handle sensitive and confidential information. PREFERRED : experience in a large academic/research environment; HR certification, e.g., SHRM or PHR; and experience working at MIT. Job #19598-8
