Scope of the Role The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) plays a vital role in enabling the Golden Spread HR Team to deliver on our Vision/Mission Statements to all stakeholders by focusing on providing HR Support that aligns the organization with the Strategic Plan and supports the HR Vision of flawless delivery and provides a platform for HR operational excellence.
The HRG is responsible for HR functions pertaining to HR compliance and analytics, employee engagement and support services, and Change Leadership. This position demands an extensive knowledge of cooperative policies, procedures, regulations, and approved practices. A high level of confidentiality is required.
Under minimal supervision, this role assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources functions and duties and contributes to the accomplishment of Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
This position will play a critical role in the development of the HR function at GS by developing HR internal processes and procedures that will streamline workloads and enable the GS HR team to provide best in class services.
This position requires a high level of confidentiality and discretion, the ability to manage relationships both internally across the Cooperative and externally, excellent time and project management skills, a high attention to detail and accuracy, as well as mastery logistics planning skills related to travel and calendaring.
This role provides prompt and stellar customer service to all GS employees, HR partners and external vendors while maintaining the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality on all matters. Additionally, this role recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Knowledge, and Experience • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent in relevant experience required. • Minimum of 3 years’ progressive experience in an HR function preferred • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred. • Experience working in ADP HRIS preferred. • An ability to thrive in an environment where priorities change daily, and where employees wears many hats, detailed-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ability to think "outside the box" and prioritize tasks and decisions in a timely manner. • Self-directed, yet effective working part of a collaborative HR team and understands HR’s role. • Responsive and employee-focused with a demonstrated use of professional judgment. • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. • Requires an individual with a true passion for assisting the organization in meeting its strategic objectives by providing stellar support.
