Work You'll Do
Facilitating cross-functional meetings between the core hr, compensation, benefits, recruiting, time & absence, and financials teams to ensure successful functioning of payroll touchpoints with other modules. Using project management tools, microsoft (ms) sharepoint, and ms project to track and report key project metrics and milestones. Utilizing ms word, powerpoint, excel, and visio to record/analyze data and leading documentation efforts relating to project guidelines, requirements decisions, functional design specifications, configuration details, issues, and risks, including documentation during various testing phases including unit testing, user acceptance testing (uat), system integration testing (sit), and payroll parallel testing. Overseeing project planning, mapping and requirement gathering workshops while educating clients about system functionalities and capabilities. Leading business process design sessions, designing business processes in adherence with the best practices, configuring these processes as per client requirements. Acting as a subject matter expert for payroll conversion and integration teams to convert legacy payroll data and build integrations with other systems. Configuring workday payroll and workday time tracking modules for us clients while building calculations, taxation rules, calendars, payroll accounting set-up, and other components and assisting with migration throughout the various tenant builds (including prototype, testing, and production). Assisting in building of data validation and audit reports to ensure accurate data conversions while guiding clients with checklists to enable efficient and smooth payroll processing. Spearheading the planning activities for unit, system integration (sit), user acceptance (uat) and payroll parallel testing while deploying tools for comparison of new system pay data with the legacy system. Using testing tools like jira, testrail, and smartsheet to facilitate activities throughout the testing phases including issue identification, escalation and resolution, as well as tracking progress for product enhancements. Acting as a post go-live payroll subject matter advisor, supporting day-to-day operations, and advising clients on better auditing, reporting, data control and future product enhancements. Leading development teams involved with building microsites for client pursuits and internal purposes and assisting with other internal firm initiatives for practice development. Leading training and knowledge transfer sessions with client teams to ensure smooth user adoption and change management.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in business administration, any stem degree or a related field. Two years of experience in the offered position or a position in a related occupation. Must have two years of experience with: working across all phases of the agile, waterfall, scrum and iterative development project delivery or software development life cycle (sdlc) for designing, developing, testing and implementing end-to-end solutions using workday hr suite solutions for enterprise-level clients; analyzing and documenting current-state systems, processes and environments to support project design of future-state/to-be systems, processes and environments using microsoft (ms) word, excel, powerpoint, visio and tableau; interfacing directly with client stakeholders in gathering functional and technical requirements, analyzing client requirements, and translating requirements into project designs to deliver solutions that fully meet client needs using collaboration tools like sharepoint, microsites, box and smartsheet; using workday implementation systems to support/participate in/lead the design and development of project solutions; tracking and reporting on project and milestone deliverables status to ensure timely project delivery and communicating updates to internal and external stakeholders using microsoft office, smartsheet, ms teams, and jira; coordinating the project activities of onshore and offshore team members to ensure the timely and quality completion of project deliverables; using testrail, jira, and smartsheet to support/perform/oversee the following types of testing to ensure successful design and implementation of project solutions: unit, end-to-end, system integration (sit), user acceptance (uat) and payroll compare testing; designing and delivering user manuals and training for solutions to ensure successful implementation, adoption and maintenance in client environments using job aids, tip sheets, online and instructor led training courses and glossary; supporting business development activities, including proposal development and responses to requests for proposals. 80% travel required. 80% travel required to various unanticipated locations nationally.
