The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, (UTK) Human Resources office is seeking a Human Resources Analyst. The UTK Human Resources Office provides services to more than 5,000 regular faculty and staff, as well as temporary and student employees. HR Data Collection, Analysis & Reporting * Work with HR team members to identify data sources and reporting capabilities * Identify and research standard metrics such as headcount, turnover, performance, attendance, recruiting, and time to fill * Analyze workforce data, identify trends, and explain outliers in the data * Work with data in both internal and external systems such as applicant tracking and HRIS/payroll systems to complete requests * Conduct studies and research and prepare reports for campus leadership * Analyze requests to determine what data sources are best and what display will most clearly and accurately fulfill need * Generate ad hoc employment-related reports * Review, interpret and recommend revised practice or approach based on data analysis * Collect data from multiple sources, prepare reports, make presentations to management level individuals/groups, serve as key advisor upon request * Design and produce HR Annual Report * Participate in working groups, committees, and other project teams related to scope of work or departmental need
Process improvement/Efficiencies * Manage process improvement projects for department, which may include partnership with OIT * Identify areas of data which are flawed in such a way that they cannot produce usable data; make recommendations for improvement/change process
