The USC School of Architecture seeks an HR Payroll Coordinator with solid leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills to join its team! The Coordinator will oversee the payroll and HR process to ensure transactions are entered on time and according to policies and procedures. The Coordinator will also support the business office with purchasing, reimbursements, faculty contracts, and the annual faculty teaching chart. This position reports to the Senior Business Officer.Â
Major Job Accountabilities:
Oversee payroll and HR transactions for faculty, staff, and student workers.Â
Coordinate with SBO and Faculty Affairs on the Annual Faculty Contract Process
Oversee the International Student and Faculty Process
Provide Guidance to Directors on Faculty Effort Calculations
Provide customer services to staff and faculty on general payroll and HR inquiries.Â
Advise faculty and staff on university payroll and HR policies and procedures and assists with interpretation.
Coordinate recruitment and placement activities for the School. Coordinate content and placement of job postings, screen qualified applicants and oversees onboarding of faculty, staff, and student workers.Â
Interacts with University HR to facilitate administration and delivery of employee benefits.Â
Assist faculty and staff with staff salary administration. Provides information and guidance on policies and procedures and interact with University HR as needed.
Control and oversee confidential employee records and files.
Gather data for reports and analyzes data. Recommends report content and format to display findings most effectively.
Handle the purchasing for Faculty & Students for our Study Abroad Program
Preferred Education and Experience:Â
3-5 years of experience payroll and HR field in a university setting
Workday HCM experience
