Assist the HR Management team in formulating HR strategies through the effective analysis of market intelligence, internal data and organizational needs; track and compile management reports on the execution status of these strategies
Assist to cultivate a positive culture in the Bank by designing and coordinating initiatives to address areas for improvement, emerging needs and latest regulatory requirements. Maintain culture dashboard to facilitate the Bank's governance bodies and Management to exercise effective oversight on the bank culture status
Handle and coordinate requests from group companies, which may include conducting gap analyses on HR policies and practices, writing Chinese proposals / reports, etc.
Conduct research on latest industry and regulatory updates to identify control weaknesses in HR function. Influence process owners to implement agreed changes in a timely and effective manner
Prepare and maintain risk and controls related reports/inventories including incidents log and trend analysis, draw insights from these reports and propose preventive / remedial actions where needed
Handle audit/compliance review activities and propose solutions to close any controls deficiencies identified
Draft, review and updates HR related policies and procedures from control perspective
Handle escalations and incidents related to risk and compliance. Provide subject matter advices on policies and procedures of other BU/SU to safeguard the Bank from the exposure to people risk and operational excellence perspective
Conduct regular reviews to ensure different teams of Human Resources Group comply with their internal operating policies and procedure. Partner with process owners to identify remedial actions / future solutions for gaps identified.
Support the review of governance and control frameworks and other planning activities in relation to HR functions
Assist to manage other HR risk and compliance related projects as needs arise
Degree holder in Human Resources Management or related disciplines. Degree in Law or qualifications in Legal Studies is an advantage
Minimum 5 years of experience gained within human resources, CEO office, compliance, internal control or audit
Prior experience in HR policy writing/interpretation with strong analytical skills is preferred
Knowledge of Hong Kong Employment Ordinance, Banking Ordinance and all related regulatory requirements.
Detail minded and able to multi-task, prioritize work effectively and strong organization skills
Strong communication skills and able to build rapport with a diverse team of professionals
Fully comfortable working in English and Chinese, both written and spoken
