The Human Resources Coordinator ensures compliance with university policy and procedures and exercises judgment in the resolution of human resource and payroll issues.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as the primary point of contact for employees and administrative offices regarding hiring processes for staff and payroll.
Coordinates and manages the hiring processes for staff, students and post docs, within the Graduate School of Medicine.
Advises departments on Human Resources & Payroll policies and procedures.
Assures that staff and faculty within the Graduate School of Medicine are on-boarded properly.
Collects timesheets from all the departments. May enter biweekly and monthly timesheets for some of departments. Keys in additional pays for various departments.
Processes promotions, transfers, reclassifications, salary increases and various other processes.
Prepares and processes new position requests and employee information.
Manages the annual staff performance evaluation process.
Manages the annual staff excellence awards and employee service awards processes.
Serves as liaison between the Graduate School of Medicine and UTHSC Human Resources in Memphis (University of Tennessee Health Science Center) to facilitate new hires, advertising positions, reclassifications, salary increases, performance reviews
Performs other duties as assigned.
