My client is a highly regarded and successful Alternative Investment Manager with regional hubs in Asia, Europe and the US.
Reporting into the Global Head of HR, this role is the regional head, looking after offices in London and Western Europe.
Perfect as a career first "Head Of" for someone with a minimum of 8 years experience but more likely for someone with 12 years + HR Generalist experience. At least the last 3 years of this experience should be within a buy side firm such as Private Equity, Hedge Fund or something similar.
My client is specifically looking for candidates with niche buy side financial services experience. Candidates from outside this niche such as banking or insurance are unlikely to get an interview. Candidates from outside sectors or not enough relavent sector experience will regretfully not be considered.
They also value loyalty, so a CV which has at least 4 years in the most recent role will have an advantage.
The core part of this position is HR Generalist, therefore good ER experience is essential. Also significant is Performance Management and knowledge of Reward (although this is not a Comp and Ben role).
The candidate will be interacting with Partners on a day to day basis and be expected to contribute to Global HR strategy. They will also have to be hands on and not too proud to carry out administration when the administrator is not around! Knowledge of Global Mobility and some experience of Payroll is needed, although the latter will be is supervisory rather than hands on.
This is a full on, 5 day a week role, although they are fine with working from home for 2 days a week.
The office days will not be 9-6!
