Job Purpose - Support the Head of HR, Asia in the development and execution of the Asia people strategy focusing on the four pillars - client centric and agile organisation; deploying our talent in the biggest opportunities for the Bank; diversity & inclusion and building a future ready workforce.
- To drive HR priorities across the Asia region ensuring these are aligned to the business/functional strategies, global HR priorities and Asia strategic agenda.
The Role Responsibilities Strategy - Support Head of HR, Asia in aligning the implementation of people strategy and HR priorities to the Global HR strategy and Asia Regional Shared Agenda
- Work closely with country heads of HR, Global HRBPs and HR Centres of Excellence (Performance, Rewards & Benefits, Leadership Effectiveness, HR Operational Risk, Employee Relations etc.) to deliver business and regional strategies at the country level whilst ensuring strong controls, processes, governance, and risk management across the region and relevant businesses.
- Support the implementation of the various transformation projects across the region and relevant businesses
Business - Provide support on the management of the Regional and Business HR financials in terms of budget and business efficiency targets
- Provide recommendations to the business regarding HR policies and procedures, change management and organisational transformation initiatives to enable delivery of the business strategy in alignment with Group policies.
Processes - Provide support for the implementation and execution of HR processes, policies and procedures ensuring compliance with local regulations
- Challenge processes, policies, and procedures where there is a more effective way of doing things and raise awareness of best practices for regional adoption as identified.
- Work with risk control owners and/or Group policy owners to ensure effective implementation and operationalisation of relevant policies and control standards set by them.
People and Talent Talent Management - Provide support on the talent management agenda for the region and relevant businesses. This will include the following (not exhaustive)
- Succession Planning
- Leadership Effectiveness development
- Talent Management Programmes and Initiatives
- Diversity & Inclusion agenda, including the development of female and Chinese talent
Performance Management - Provide support to the team, Asia MT (AMT) members and business stakeholders on performance management processes (ie. Banking Reform Act regulations, Fit & Proper Annual Re-certification P3 review etc.)
Business Partnering - Provide business partnering support to AMT members and business stakeholders on Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations etc where applicable
- Ensure workforce insights analytics packs are fit for purpose and distributed to the team timely
- Provide analytics support on Spans & Layers, Organisation Design etc
- Provide support on corporate plan, headcount control and business efficiencies
Governance - Provide support to deliver the Conduct Plan across the region and relevant businesses.
- Provide support on investigation and mitigation plans where there are audit findings or operational risks issues in the region and relevant business
Regulatory & Business Conduct - Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate -
- 5 years of experience preferably in BPM or HR
- Masters or bachelor's degree desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
