Normal Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Job Summary: The Human Resources Business Partner I develops strong partnerships with and provides professional human resource services to assigned colleges/departments in an effort to positively influence organizational performance and results. Advises and consults with managers on employee and human resource issues, university policy and practices. Possesses a solid knowledge of human resource functional areas.
Additional Department Summary: This position provides guidance to ensure University compliance with federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulations. Aligns HR efforts with the business objectives of the University.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years of professional-level human resources experience in at least one of the primary human resource functional areas: benefits, compensation, employee relations, recruitment, or training; OR Master's degree and a minimum of one (1) year of professional-level human resources experience in at least one of the primary human resource functional areas.
Preferred Qualifications: PHR or SPHR certification. Bachelors degree or higher in Human Resources Management or Business Administration.
