The Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Regina invites applications for a tenure-track position in the area of Human Resource Management (HRM) at the level of Assistant Professor. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2021. Alternative start dates may be considered.
Candidates must hold a PhD (or be near completion) in human resource management, Indigenous studies, organizational behaviour, industrial-organizational psychology, sociology, or any related discipline, and demonstrate evidence of teaching effectiveness. A completed professional designation in HRM (e.g., CPHR) will be considered an asset.
Teaching responsibilities will be in the area of human resource management (e.g., staffing, compensation, training and development, performance management).
Applicants must also show evidence of an emerging research agenda and dissemination of research. Further, for this position, teaching and research experience with an Indigenous focus will be considered an asset.
In order to alleviate the under-representation of these individuals in Faculty of Business Administration faculty positions, preference in hiring will be given to those who self-identify as Indigenous persons (First Nations, Inuit, Métis) in the application process.
Current faculty members in the area have diverse disciplinary backgrounds (management, psychology, sociology) and have research/teaching expertise in a wide range of areas (e.g., group dynamics, occupational health and safety, industrial relations and labour studies, behavioural science). The Faculty has a strong appreciation of a wide range of scholarly research as well as excellence in teaching and experiential pedagogy.
