Rider University invites applications for a Human Resources Associate. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Resources, this individual will provide diverse and highly confidential support for all functions of Human Resources which includes Labor Relations, Employee Relations, Benefits, Compensation, Recruitment and HRIS. The successful candidate will manage and facilitate the smooth operation of the front office. Effective communication with Human Resources staff is critical.
Qualified candidate must possess a minimum of 3+ years office experience preferably in Human Resources with excellent administrative, project management, interpersonal and public relations skills. A degree in a relevant field may substitute, in part, for the work experience requirement. Additional skills for success in this position include: active listening; a high level of attention to detail; the ability to prioritize, organize and coordinate all aspects of a highly diverse office with competing priorities; the willingness to be a contributing member of a highly functioning team; the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and perform under pressure; and the ability to respond quickly and accurately to a wide variety of inquiries and requests, both internal and external. Individual must also possess excellent skill level with Microsoft Office Suite and Google products and knowledge of HR systems (Banner and PeopleAdmin), is desired. Accurate knowledge of University policies and procedures are essential. Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources is desired.
Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
