Mounds Park Academy is a PreK-12 independent school in Saint Paul, MN that serves approximately 540 students from throughout the Twin Cities area. Mounds Park Academy seeks a full-time Human Resources generalist and payroll and benefits administrator. This is a year-round full-time position.
Human Resources Generalist Job Responsibilities:
Advance the mission, vision, and values of Mounds Park Academy
Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation
Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
Undertake tasks around performance management
Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics
Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities
Ensure compliance with labor regulations (workers compensation/OSHA, FMLA, STD)
Serve as the Retirement Plan Coordinator
Maintain databases and files for employee records, including payroll and benefits information
Administer compensation and benefit plans
Use PayCom to process payroll twice each month and provide information to controller for monthly close
Ensure that HSA, TIAA, Flex, Annual Fund, Tuition and garnishment payroll deductions are reported timely and accurately into the appropriate record keeping systems
Human Resources Generalist Qualifications/Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of the human resources field
Good knowledge and experience with state and federal employment/labor laws
Understanding of personnel and compliance records management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Self-starter and individual contributor with the flexibility to work as a team
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or experience in a related field
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)
1-3 years human resources experience
