Perform tasks in compensation and benefits. Responsibilities will include classifying positions, providing competitive salary ranges for positions, and guiding unit leaders through the process of establishing and/or updating positions in a wide range from single positions, to the development of career ladders, to unit reorganization. Supports employment functions by assisting with the posting of vacant positions, advising managers on hiring rates, and assisting with search-related questions. Benefit responsibilities include resolving critical benefits issues and employee concerns; and reporting and analysis of unique appointments with complex benefits arrangements. Provide excellent customer assistance to faculty, staff, and unit representatives on employee benefits matters as well as answering the phone, greeting customers, and student trip insurance processing. Answers questions and/or directs visitors to other benefits employees for assistance.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree plus two years’ Human Resources, Payroll, and/or Business Administrative experience. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Strong computer skills.
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Human Resources Management, Classification/Compensation, and or Benefits experience. SAP experience helpful. An understanding of University insurance, benefits, and/or compensation structures. Professional HR certification.
