What you’ll be doing...
The Global HR Services Onboarding specialist works with hiring managers, Talent Acquisition and IT/Facilities to providea seamless and efficient onboarding experience.
Act as POC for new hire and hiring manager once Recruiter has handover the case to NEST (New Employee Support Team).
Drive positive candidate experience by managing pre-boarding activities in a streamlined and efficient manner.
Day 1 orientation reach-out to newly hired
Day 2 & 10 newly hired and transferring employees
Engage daily with HR shared services and lead recruiters where necessary to ensure maximum communication and clarity of potential issues in pre-boarding.
Work collaboratively with HR and Talent Acquisition to identify issues in process and proactively recommend potential solutions to refine and improve process continuously.
Maintain/improve controls and audit structure to ensure employee data and security.
Maintain employee databases using Verizon tools, Microsoft Office tools and other web-based systems as required.
Contribute to and participate in systems implementation and process improvement initiatives driven by the Global Onboarding Team.
Daily monitoring of all offer requests: contract generation, distribution to candidates and follow up with candidates on the return of signed contracts and pre-boarding documents on a timely basis
Ensure that all candidates are fully educated on background investigation process and that all documents have been completed accurately and submitted on time.
Follow up of background investigation (BI) with 3rd party vendor and drive the BI process in line with Verizon policy and guidelines and manage 3rd party vendor relationship to meet agreed SLA.
Start date management – liaison with managers and candidates to confirm start date and enter start date into EPSR (internal system).
Flag work permit requirement with HR Service Operations to ensure Verizon is compliant to local regulations.
Provide end to end case management of new hire equipment including liaison with IT/Facilities; completion of New Starter Forms on behalf of managers to ensure VZID, desk space, equipment, etc. is ready on day 1.
Ensure benefit enrolment and payroll is set up on time.
Ensure new hires complete compliance training and objectives setting with managers by Day 10.
Provide back up support to other International HR Service Operations teams as requested, to help manage peaks and troughs in workload.

What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
A degree or four or more years of relevant experience
Four or more years experience in a position requiring some form of project management related tasks and/or process improvement within Human Resources function
Even better if you have:
Experience working within an international and dynamic environment involving multiple cultures, nationalities and time zones
Outstanding organizational skills with strong analytical skills
Proficiency with MS Office, G-Suite applications, Oracle PeopleSoft and Workday
Strong communicatorwith superior oral and written communication skills
