HR Generalist (Staff Assistant), Human Resources & Payroll Office
Non-Unit Professional Position, Danvers Campus
Monday- Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm
Serve as HR Generalist with responsibilities in support of benefits administration, training, recruitment, coordination of CORI review process and compensation studies. Provide support to the AVP and Vice President on special projects as assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the College's CORI process and serve as college's CORI administrator for state CORI and national background checks and serve as a member of the CORI Review Board.
Responsible for providing HR data for IPEDS reporting, catalog, employee recognition program and other internal data request
Coordinate with vendors and manage College-wide required training programs to meet federal and state regulations including Sexual Harassment Training, Campus Security Authority, Sexual Violence Prevention, and Information Security Training.
Manage employee performance evaluation process in compliance with contractual requirements
Manage and participates in salary surveys to collect and analyze information. Gathers data and submits information to the third party survey administrator. Conducts analysis based on the survey results.
Run system reports as needed
Research and assist in completing employee request such as service buybacks, verification, accreditation reports, etc.
Serve as a resource to employees on benefits questions and serve as back-up to Benefits Coordinator on all benefits plan administration including flexible spending accounts, life and health insurance, retirement plans and LTD.
Assist the Benefits Coordinator with new employee orientations and open enrollment.
Plan and coordinate employee recognition programs and events
Work closely with recruitment and payroll in ensuring accuracy of data including, hiring new employees in HRCMS, accuracy in tracking employee status and reporting
Provide support to hiring and recruitment process as needed
Serve as liaison with College EAP provider, recommending and coordinating visibility and training session.
Provide assistance to the AVP and Vice President of HR on special projects.
Represent the HR Department on college wide committees including governance committees and search committees.
Other duties as assigned

Bachelor's degree in related field and three years of related experience in Human Resources, preferably in higher education; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of HR systems and processes, including benefits administration and recruitment.
System administration experience of HRCMS or other similar HRIS system required.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access required.
Strong database management skills including the ability to merge, clean and analyze large amounts of data.
Demonstrated strong attention to detail, problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills.
Must be able to secure CORI, SORI, and National Background clearance in order to serve as college CORI administrator.
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations required.
