Job description: This position resides in the ALRT Administration Center of the Medical School, and will provide day-to-day support to the HR Manager and two senior HR Generalist through the coordination and administration of a variety of HR activities for one or more of all University employee groups (Faculty, P&A, Civil Service, Labor Represented, Trainees, Students, etc.). The ALRT Administrative Center supports the Departments of Anesthesiology, Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, Radiology, and Radiation Oncology.
Responsibilities Talent Planning & Acquisition: Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Onboarding (50%) • Own the temp/casual and student positions’ hiring process: job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, salary analysis, employee demographics, offer letters, appointment entry, on-boarding, etc • Assist in faculty offer letter writing and routing • Incorporate diversity goals, past applicant source data, and sourcing strategies • Review salary structure within the hiring department to identify pay equity issues • Create and route job postings in the online employment system as well as background checks through the external vendor. Advise, train and troubleshoot on system access and processes for hiring managers and teams. Monitor and update applicant status. • Facilitate applicant communications. Review offer letters for internal policy compliance. • Develop and conduct new employee orientation • Serve as a Department I-9 administrator • Assist in all search process as needed
Employee Management, Process Improvement, and Projects (30%) • Gathering data, reporting analysis, and assisting in creating/implementing process improvement • Create and disperse complex correspondence, which may include confidential/sensitive communications, training materials, defined HR cyclical processes, etc. • Responsible for graduate assistant employment semester review and system maintenance • Monitor monthly future date tasks for compliance and with appropriate follow up • Primary liaison for all new and existing HR cyclical program coordination • Provide back up support to visa specialist
Employee & Labor Relations (20%) • Coordinate annual performance review process for ALRT Admin Center • Provide first level of interpretation of policies and procedures and collaborate with HR team and/or supervisors on the resolution of more complex issues • Serve as a backup contact for Civil Service and Labor Represented employees and provide cross-coverage for other employee groups as needed This is a one year temporary with possible, with the strong possibility of an extension. |
