Job Description The HR Generalist is available on request to support a variety of Human Resources tasks or initiatives, including advising people managers on the execution of performance management, coaching, corrective action issues, team building, employee development and compliance initiatives. This role will provide primary operational (day to day) support for the managers and employees within the organization. The position requires team participation and interfaces with all areas of Human Resources to provide exceptional and consistent support for managers and employees. Key Accountabilities - Partner with HRBPs and CoEs leaders to bring value to the business (ex: execution of university relations programs/activities at a local level).
- Provide feedback to HRBPs, COEs and HR Services to assist those functions to deliver continuous improvement and consistency to all employees. When clear processes do not exist, lead the discussion to develop processes that meet local needs.
- Lead the local deployment support of HR programs (ex: Implementing new payroll methods, WORKDAY implementation, launching new CoE programs, leave of absence process, etc.).
- Deliver HR training activities provided by the COEs or HR Service Centre to managers and employees. Partner with COEs and HR Service Center to identify local training needs and create material to support those needs.
- Identify where support in local language may be needed and work with COEs, HR Service Center, Legal, or HRBPs to provide materials in that language.
- Manage, with input from hiring manager, all involuntary terminations, reductions in force. This includes planning, costing, and documenting all stages of the exit (with the support and direction from HRBPs and Legal).
- In consultation with legal, provide support to managers through involuntary terminations and investigations.
- Provide guidance and support to local managers on performance management with the aim of preventing employee disputes.
- Ensure all local policies and procedures are up to date according to Canadian national and provincial legal requirements.
- Support and help implement organizational changes required to comply with local laws related to ensuring a positive non-discriminatory and safe work environment and local work council requirements. These changes may include reviewing policies, procedures, handbooks and employment documents.
- Provide support for company-wide changes or programs, such as employee development, business restructuring, support HRBPs with organizational design and change management efforts.
- Provide local support for corporate initiatives and programs, such as engagement and inclusion initiatives, global voices (employee survey) and action planning.
- Provide support for on-site audit/compliance reviews (regulatory/legal requirements).

- Relevant university degree

Desired Qualifications: - Experience work with a software company is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with manufacturing (hourly) employees and professional (salary) employees and various levels of management.
- Ability to work effectively across functional lines in a global matrixed environment.
- Strong written and oral English communications skills, and strong influencing capabilities.
- Experienced professional supporting programs within HR functional areas including; Employee Relations, Talent Effectiveness, Performance Management and Development, Talent Acquisition, Succession Planning, Leadership Review, Organizational Development, Diversity and Inclusion, Change Management.
