We are looking for a Human Resource Generalist to join our Human Resources Department to help support our workforce. Based on our Rindge, NH location, this position will help to support faculty and staff located in New Hampshire and Arizona.
As our HR Generalist, you will be professional, reliable, organized with a positive attitude, respect for others, and committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Your prime focus as our Generalist will be on recruiting, hiring, and onboarding with a working knowledge of employment laws and state regulations. Other areas of responsibility include but are not limited to responding to basic benefit inquiries and management, updating/revising job descriptions as needed, employee training, updating/revising policies and employee handbook, payroll preparation, DEI initiatives, accounts management, and student employment.
Skills and Qualifications:
The skills and qualifications that you possess will include:
3+ years’ experience in human resource in a dynamic HR department
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
Proficiency in or the ability to quickly learn the HRIS platforms
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary, with negotiation and conflict resolution skills desirable
Ability to look at processes and determine improvements, if needed for efficiency.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary.
Ability to effectively interact and create great working relationships with all levels within the University.
Must be highly organized and attentive to detail with a sense of urgency.
Ability to work accurately under strict deadlines.
Ability to show good judgment, strong initiative, and solid work ethic.
Working knowledge of HR principles and theories, plus current HR practices needed.
Must be able to adhere to strict confidentiality.
Must be approachable and present a positive and professional image through conduct and appearance.
This position will initially be in person and on campus but will allow for working remotely, as needed.
