The HR Services Team delivers high quality value-add HR consultancy services throughout M&G plc. The team apply specialist knowledge, advice and guidance and share best practice to colleagues across the organisation. In addition to this, the team ensures policies and processes are applied in a consistent, fair and professional manner. The HR Adviser helps support and educate colleagues across HR and the wider business by helping them work within a self-service model to get the best out of Workday and The People Hub. The HR Adviser works closely with the other HR Advisers, HR Services Specialists, HR Services Manager and other HR Teams.
This role will begin working remotely and will then have a blend of working from home and our Stirling office.
Key Work Level Accountabilities: Colleague:
Accountable for delivering a quality service and product to customers and stakeholders
Focuses on quality of delivery to achieve clear outputs within guidelines and precedent
Runs the organisation's processes and systems following pre-defined procedures
Adapts to change, responds with initiative and make suggestions for improvements to own work and processes
Key Responsibilities for this role:
Working through a training plan with the aim of being signed off across all HR general tasks and processes across the team
Working through a training plan with the aim to being signed off in supporting the Onboarding and Pre-Employment Screening process
Working through a training plan to fully understand the HR systems we use i.e. Workday, People Hub and how all the teams across HR work together / collaborate, including 3rd party suppliers
Carrying out HR and pay related changes linked to the employee lifecycle, ensuring all activities remain compliant and within policy, legislation, regulatory guidelines and risk appetite.
Providing HR, pay related & onboarding guidance to the M&G plc business
Participating in key BAU and Project activity
Understanding and delivering against service levels and a triage process to deliver exceptional service within the agreed time and quality, first time around
Supporting UK Border Agency requirements and other regulatory activity
Starting to challenge processes and implement process improvements
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Experience of HR administration
Previous experience of using Workday
Strong communication skills - written and verbal
Experience of managing a range of tasks and responsibilities within an HR environment
A strong customer focus
Excellent attention to detail
Drive to continually learn and develop
