Location: Hyde Park Campus Job Description: - Leads coordination of privileging with the University of Chicago Medical Center's Medical Staff Office with a moderate level of guidance.
- Assists with development and maintenance of metrics and ad hoc reports.
- Leads coordination of the Medical Staff Office compliance requirements for credentialing, recredentialing and licensure renewal.
- Supports onboarding faculty, academic appointees, staff and student workers, including providing assistance throughout the initial credentialing process for providers.
- Supports the process for academic appointments/reappointments for clinical associates and post-doctoral appointments.
- Onboards postdoctoral researchers, academic visitors, educational assignees and hourly paid staff and student workers.
- Processes visa materials, working with the Universityâ™s Office of International Affairs.
- Manages the visitor, educational assignee, student office assistants and volunteer process.
- Responsible for managing termination activities for other academic appointees, postdoctoral researchers, academic visitors, staff and student workers.
- Processes one-time payments for faculty and staff.
- Processes job posting process for student workers; may assist with job postings for staff.
- Serves as a resource for program information. Resolves problems or questions referred by program staff, University administrators, or other contingencies.
- May process job postings for faculty and other academic appointees.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Preferred Qualifications Education: Experience: - A minimum of four years of experience in human resources, academic affairs, and/or administration with HR responsibilities
- Work experience in a post-secondary academic, healthcare, non-profit, or equivalent setting.
- Prior experience in working with faculty and/or academic appointees, especially in a faculty/academic affairs role.
- Knowledge of visa processing requirements.â‚â‚â‚â‚â‚
- Experience in human resources, preferably in medical center or academic environment
