HR Benefits, Analytics & Information Systems (HRBAIS) has an outstanding full time opportunity for a Human Resources Analyst. The purpose of this position is to provide analytical, project and technical support to UW HRBAIS activities. This role will also act as a primary HRBAIS business and support analyst, providing requirements analysis, documentation and testing on complex HRBAIS projects. This role will also assist developers in HRBAIS in building and maintaining complex SQL queries, Reporting Services Reports, SSIS packages and Power BI visualizations. RESPONSIBILITIES: Business Analyst Lead users through discussions regarding the current state, and future state of a process or system; and assist subject matter experts (SMEs) and business owners in producing high-quality documentation of the current and desired future states. Perform complex gap analysis of processes and systems. Create new project documentation and templates as needed. Work with SMEs and business owners to document high quality system requirements. Work with SMEs and business owners to deliver system documentation, including technical and functional guides. Work with SME’s and business owners to produce user guides for HRBAIS systems. Lead the creation and implementation of test plans. Information and Support Analyst Information management efforts such as developing reports, fulfilling information and records requests, analyzing data and developing a solid understanding of HR’s data are a key portion of HRBAIS' work and of this role. This position requires advanced SQL and data analysis skills that will be used to pull, aggregate, analyze and document large data sets. The position also requires strong Microsoft Access and Excel skills, these will be used to support and maintain custom applications. This position will: Develop Microsoft Reporting Services reports, using tools such as Visual Studio and Power BI to present data in an application layer to HRBAIS customers.
