This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week. This position is time-limited.

Essential Functions:
POSITION SUMMARY: Provides audit and input of assigned staff and fellow/trainee appointment data, functioning as a primary source of information for their departments regarding appointment and payroll policies and procedures. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Enters and audits monthly and biweekly payroll documents for accuracy and timeliness. Accomplished by timely approval of HRMS transactions and weekly review of system reports such as unapproved transactions.
- Monitors work flow of departmental payroll and appointments transactions and works with department representatives in correcting or resolving pay or appointment issues.
- Acts as liaison between Payroll and Medical School departments regarding policies and procedures. Provides appropriate support and timely follow up on all referenced questions or situations.
- Serves as payroll representative for Central Administration departments, entering HRMS appointment and payroll data, timesheets and other related functions.
- Reviews pay transactions to include promotions, transfers and equity adjustments to ensure consistency with compensation policy.
- Assists departments with staff salary planning. Conducts simple analysis and resolves issues.
- Monitors monthly reports, including minimum wage, living wage and exempt employee’s salary and works with departments to resolve any issues.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent high school certification.
- Three to five years of experience in payroll and appointments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of college courses in accounting, business or computer science.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of computerized systems and/or payroll software with ability to use routine office equipment, including a calculator, computer, CRT and typewriter.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Verbal and alpha numeric ability.
- Ability to work independently and use discretionary judgment.
- Ability to handle confidential information and materials.
Salary Range:
The hiring range for this position is $21.18 - $26.99 per hour.
