The HR Business Partner I position is responsible for providing consultation and support for HR related matters within their assigned portfolio or business unit in following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding/offboarding, policy implementation, leave management and employment law compliance.
Essential Job Functions:
Collaborates across the HR function to identify and analyze trends/metrics to help develop and deliver value-add solutions, programs and policies to management and employees that reflects the business and departmental objectives.
Works to resolve employee relations issues; including conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations.
Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to assigned portfolio/business units (includes coaching, counseling, disciplinary action advisement and career development guidance); works closely with employees to improve work relationships, build morale and reduce turnover/increase retention.
Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring compliance; provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. Partners with legal department as required.
At least 2 years of experience in a HRBP, HR Generalist or similar HR role
Strong oral and written communication
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality related to employee records and information
Intermediate computer technology skills including demonstrated knowledge of HRIS/HRMS and MS Office Suite
Ability to work with a diverse group of people in a collaborative environment
Work Schedule:Generally,8am-5pm, Monday-Friday, or as needed to meet business needs; may require working hours outside normal business hours for on-call emergencies.
