An exciting career opportunity to serve as the Human Resources Manager for the Menlo Park Fire Protection District (MPFPD), the top-level HR position in the District, reporting to the Fire Chief. The successful candidate will have outstanding leadership skills, analytical skills, and exceptionally strong people skills. The Human Resources Manager oversees all MPFPD human resources functions including labor relations, recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, benefits administration, training and development, and payroll administration with a staff of two subordinate professionals. MPFPD is seeking candidates with a proven customer service focus, a collaborative style in support of all MPFPD divisions, a leader in innovation, and the ability to maintain strong and successful working relationships with labor groups.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of progressively responsible personnel management experience, including three years of administrative and supervisory responsibility or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
