Responsible for the development, implementation and analysis of all recruitment plans and ad campaigns. Determines where qualified applicant sources can be located. Provides reports and recruitment data upon request. Screens applications and resumes for department managers and presents only skilled and qualified applicants to the Director for consideration. Demonstrates knowledge of Federal and State employment rules and regulations and practices non-discriminating recruitment at all times. Responsible for presenting timely offers for employment to applicants and assists the applicant as needed during the pre-employment process and general orientation. Provides employee relaitons assistant to VRBH managers. Performs other duties as assigned.
BA/BS in Management, Business Administration, or related field required. Additional training in employment law preferred.
A minimum of 5 years HR, and recruitment experience required, Marketing experience a plus. Working knowledge of state and federal employment law. Able to deal with information in a confidential manner. Proficient with MS Office required; web-based applicant tracking systems, a plus. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to prioritize and multi-task efficiently. Project management skills a plus.
Manages postings and applicants.
Identifies resources for potential recruits and develops effective ad campaigns, hand outs and recruitment brochures.
Facilitates recruitment/advertising plan.
Demonstrates ability to keep within the budgetary limits.
Tracks source of applicant response, call -ins and walk-ins.
Works in a self-directed manner.
Develops applicant follow-up and insures that follow up occurs within five (5) days.
Provides weekly updated job posting to the system or as needed.
Makes recommendations to streamline HR processes and procedures.
Provides financial information regarding what costs are expended to fill vacancies.
Notifies HR Director of any problems or difficulty to recruit positions.
Coordinates & manages job fairs and career days for VRBH.
Screens applications/bids within two (2) days of receipt and in accordance to HR policy while practicing non-discriminating recruitment and employment procedures at all times.
Matches qualified applicants/bids with the appropriate vacancies.
Anticipates and is proactive with recruitment approaches.
Develops "creative" recruiting methods.
Makes recommendations to the management team of Human Resources to revise policies, procedures, forms, etc., to improve efficiency of services.
Coordinates the activity and flow of applicants through the interviewing process and monitors responses from interview team.
Assists Director/HR Team with day to day activities and special projects as requested. Demonstrates knowledge of the Venice Regional Medical Center structure, systems and processes and those of assigned area. Demonstrate the ability to make decisions with confidence and in support for the Organization's mission and goals.
Assists with the development of policies/ procedures that guide and support the provision of services as related to recruitment.
Assists with budget preparation, information tracking and projects.
Validation of knowledge base, skills level, and decision making is sought as necessary and guidance in areas of questions is assertively sought from policy manuals, clinical managers, supervisors and co-workers.
Develops and maintains current knowledge related to Human Resources policies and procedures and assures correctness of information dispersed.
Notifies HR Director of potential problem areas or situations.
Attends/completes all mandatory education requirements.
Works closely with HR Team ensuring effective teamwork.
