JOB DESCRIPTION: Payroll and HR Coordinator
Washington Episcopal School seeks a Payroll and HR Coordinator. This position is for 30 hours per week and can generally be flexible around a school schedule. The role will be an integral part of the Business Office, responsible for but not limited to coordinating and processing payroll; gathering and processing new hire and current employee documents from faculty and staff; issuing employment contracts; PTO maintenance; administering all benefits including health, life, STD, LTD; 403b plan including census and 5500; assist with periodic surveys for various school industry organizations; supporting the business office, and serving as the point person for all benefit related questions.

Education And Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with three to five years of experience in payroll and HR functions. Preference given to Accounting, Business, or Human Resources degree.
Preference given to degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or Business.
Must be able to manage high volume workload with pleasant demeanor.
Experience with ADP Payroll/WageWorks systems preferred.
Experience with 403b plans, census and 5500 preferred.
Experience with benefits necessary.
Knowledge of hiring policies and local Labor Laws preferred.
