The Benefits Office utilizes various system, programs, and databases to administer the robust benefit offerings available to our faculty and staff. The Benefits Data Analyst in the Benefits Office is responsible for monitoring and correcting data discrepancies and reconciling enrollment between various systems. This role is responsible for various administrative tasks related to the 403(b) and 457(b) plans. The Benefits Data Analyst is responsible for maintaining eligibility data, calculating and administering 403(b) true-ups, and reviewing deferral elections. The Benefits Data Analyst will be responsible for executing queries and ad hoc reporting and provide analysis. This role is responsible for developing key metrics, uncovering vital insights and delivering critical analysis that will lead to data-informed decisions and guide our overall Benefits Office strategy. Recommends plan changes in response to changing environment.
Responsible for the reconciliation of health, dental, vision, disability, life, and voluntary plans between Benefitfocus and the carrier systems to ensure enrollments are correct.
Reconcile premiums against enrollment data to ensure correct premiums are assigned across all systems.
Maintain eligibility data for 403(b) and 457(b) plans in PeopleSoft. Ensure eligibility data is accurately reported to Fidelity for both the 403(b) Retirement Plan and Voluntary plan.
Ensure data integrity in ACA tracking system by reviewing data discrepancies and monitoring risk assessment.
Maintain data integrity in carrier and vendor systems: WageWorks; Benefitfocus; Fidelity; TIAA; The Hartford. This will ensure that enrollment and demographic data is consistent across all platforms.
Calculate and execute the quarterly 403(b) true-up process. This will include working with Fidelity directly to gather data and provide analysis of this data.
Extract various queries and ad hoc reports.
Provide input to improve the data collection processes.
Assist end users by troubleshooting errors and identifying root causes for issues.
Create and maintain user guides for faculty and staff.
Identify and interpret trends and patterns across large data sets.

Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
1-2 years HR or Benefits experience.

Strong knowledge and understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws pertaining to benefits (ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA, COBRA)

Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)
Experience with updating websites and creating marketing materials/communications
Familiarity with PeopleSoft, Kronos, and/or Benefitfocus
