This role serves as member of Human Resources leadership team and partners with the Associate Administrator of Employee Engagement to lead the plan, direction implementation, and evaluation of strategic initiatives in professional development, leadership training, and lifeâlong learning programs for the health system. Â Responsibilities include the identification, development, and implementation of instructional strategies, and learning technologies in the design and evaluation of professional development activities. The Senior Director represents the health system at external events such as USC meetings, community events, and industry conferences.Â
This role will be a key player in leading the short term and Â long term objectives for diversity, equity and inclusion by serving as a sponsor for employee resource groups for all voices throughout the health system to include LGBTQ, people of color, ethnicities, those with special needs and differing abilities, etc.Â This Senior Director will partner with executive leaders to foster a culture of respect, value, and belonging for all employees. This leader will work closely with his/her HR colleagues to ensure transparency related to recruitment, promotions, cultural competency education, etc.Â
All initiatives, activities, and events led by the Senior Director will be measured and benchmarked to ensure success.
Minimum Education:â¢Bachelorâs Degree in one of the following: Organization Change, Education, Human Resources, Business Administration or any other related field required. â¢Masterâs Degree in a related field preferred.Minimum Experience/Knowledge:â¢Ten years of corporate, academia, or healthcare leadership experienceâ¢Knowledge and skills in training and development, and human resources â¢Demonstrated ability to lead large scale initiativesâ¢Proven ability to incorporate adult learning principles in businessâ¢Experience in developing, implementing, and instructing leadership development programsâ¢Experience managing virtual education and web-based training â¢Experienced advocate for diversity and inclusion education and training Required License/Certification:â¢Fire and Safety Certification.
