MarillacHealth is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC) in Grand Junction, Colorado. MarillacHealth is seeking an HR Generalist for 90+ FTE in the organization.
Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the CEO, the HR Generalist is responsible to ensure optimum relations with all Marillac Associates and the PEO so that HR operations run smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Assists the CEO to maintain a strong working relationship and timely, accurate communication with the Professional Employment Organization. • Works closely with the Department Directors on draft job descriptions and assists in finalizing all aspects of any new or updated job descriptions with the PEO and Mountain States. • When required, work with the CEO and CFO on wage studies assigned to an outside vendor. This includes ensuring that all updated or new positions are placed on the correct wage scale. • Assists all hiring managers with all aspects of recruitment, including but not limited to job postings, working with any external recruiters, screening, scheduling and participating in interviews, conducting reference checks and working with the PEO to ensure the new associate is “entered in to the system” as needed. • Leads Marillac Health’s new associate onboarding and orientation. • Supports and assists employees with enrolling in PEO benefits and ensuring that associates know how to contact the PEO to have their benefits questions answered. • Attends with the supervisor any coaching and disciplinary process of an associate with the PEO. Keeps the CEO informed of all disciplinary actions that are initiated and the proposed resolution. • Assists in drafting any HR policies that are tailor made for Marillac Health. • Is the main Administrator and person responsible for Power DMS, policy database. • Works with Senior Leadership on the Annual Performance Evaluations and works closely with the PEO to implement the process. • Assists the CEO in the credentialing and privileging of all providers across all service lines. • Assists Joint Leadership in any strategies that result from the annual Associate Engagement Survey. • Works with Joint Leadership on planning and executing all staff meetings. • Works with Joint Leadership on identifying training needs in the organization, implementing them and tracking all annual training on Power DMS. • Assists Senior Leadership in HRSA’s Operational Site Visit on all HR aspects of compliance. • Manages Workers Compensation and Safety requirements with the CFO. • Maintains bulletin boards throughout the organization to ensure they are up-to-date and meet legal compliance requirements. The information to be posted includes wage and hour and worker’s compensation compliant posters per all state and federal regulations. • Coordinates trainings as necessary to staff as it relates to Benefits, Safety, HIPAA, Workers Compensation and Hiring/Supervising issues. • Complies with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions • Maintains the clinic’s organizational chart and keeps it current. • Participate in the R and R Committee. • Other duties as assigned
Education / Experience:
Two or more years of HR experience
PHR certification preferred.
FQHC experience is a plus.
