The Family Place, a Dallas non-profit agency that provides services to victims of domestic violence, seeks an HR Associate for the Human Resources Department. Position would report directly to the Sr. Director of Human Resources.

Experience in full-cycling recruiting: including job postings and ads, screening resumes, candidate tracking and follow up.
Manages (ATS) applicant tracking systems.
Manages pre-employment testing batteries; sets baselines and interprets results.
Utilizes social media and job boards for employee recruitment.
Responds to questions from applicants regarding the TFP’s hiring process; reviews employment applications for minimum qualifications.
Uses metrics to create monthly and quarterly reports to identify areas of growth and improvement.
Maintains a high level of professionalism and quality customer service during ongoing contact with internal and external candidates and agency personnel.
Conducts telephone pre-screens and coordinates in-person interviews.
Completes reference and background checks on new hires.
Prepares new hire orientation paperwork and creates new hire announcements.
Manages content and creates monthly agency newsletter and health newsletter.
Assists with coordination of special events such as the annual open enrollment, employee staff meetings, holiday party, etc.
Provides clerical support including filing, copying, scanning documents, and phone support; prepares mass mailings; generates correspondence; maintains supply of new hire and benefits literature.
Other Duties: Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or similar, with a human resources concentration and 1-2 years of experience in a recruitment role OR an Associate’s Degree and any equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid Texas Driver’s License and clear driving record
Knowledge and Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of and experience in current recruiting trends, including Internet recruiting.
A general understanding of State and Federal employment regulations, basic employment laws and EEOC practices preferred.
Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, as well as Internet research experience.
Skilled and experienced with applicant tracking systems and pre-employment testing software.
Understands the best practices and strategies for implementing testing, and the legal issues relating to testing.
Detail oriented and possesses the ability to problem solve, multi-task and work in a team environment with a strong commitment to excellence in the delivery of quality HR services to the organization.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; excellent spelling, grammar, editing and high level of proofing skills.
Ability to raise issues proactively and in a timely manner.
Ability to treat confidential information with professionalism and discretion required.
Developed sense of professionalism in appearance and in action.
A strong customer service orientation is also essential.
