Hamilton Park Montessori School seeks a part-time Human Resources Generalist to support the school’s HR functions through oversight of staff onboarding, completion of paperwork and documentation filing, and payroll support.
This position reports to the Head of School.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist in onboarding of all new employees, including 1099s and contractors
Maintain effective compliance for applicable federal and state employment regulations including, but not limited to, fingerprinting, sexual harassment, and staff certifications (CPR, etc)
Support the administration of staff benefit programs including health care, group insurance and retirement fund
Manage required HR filing and documentation relating to employee leave (including FMLA, disability, unemployment, etc), benefits, and general files
Provide appropriate information to the Head of School for preparation of position descriptions, job classifications, and salary and benefits changes
Assist with reviewing and processing payroll
Maintain secure and confidential human resource related files and records
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 2-3 years of human resources experience
Strong working knowledge of human resources principles, procedures, practices and policies
Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels within the organization
Skilled in basic business software including word processing and spreadsheets
