Posting Summary: Provides a broad range of administrative and clerical support functions to the Human Resources Department while maintaining a high level of confidentiality. Serves as the first point of contact for the HR department and assists in maintaining efficient workflow. Answers routine questions and provides basic information regarding HR forms and processes. Refers non-routine questions to appropriate staff member. Composes routine correspondence, performs word processing of forms and documents as needed.
Verifies student work assignments that includes Work Aid, Work Study and Graduate Assistants, enters assignments in HR Banner system, and maintains student payroll records. Performs I-9 verification for students, employees, and faculty. Ensures all necessary new hire documents are complete and in compliance with University, State, and Federal guidelines. Enters direct deposit information in Banner and notifies Accounting of changes to deposit accounts. Sets up email account information for faculty and staff. Receives and distributes faxes and other communications to HR staff members. Must be able to work extended hours during peak times. Performs other related duties as assigned.
