The Labor/Employee Relations Manager has a broad focus and oversight of the Labor and Employee Relations for organization. The position will conduct, organize and direct the employee and labor relations functions throughout the system (5000+ employees). This leader will oversee all employee and labor activities, while identifying trends and opportunities and implementing strategies for improvement.Â The incumbent will be a strategic leader, focused on building positive/influential relationships among all levels in the organization and the representative bargaining units. This role will work with his/her team to develop and facilitate training and activity tracking tools. This manager will participate in collective bargaining sessions, arbitrations and grievances and will manage all contract implementations. This position will also update, interpret and apply employee relations policies and the collective bargaining agreements.Â The Labor/Employee Relations leader must be able to work a flexible schedule and travel to all onsite/offsite locations.Â Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education:- Bachelorâs Degree required. - Masterâs Degree preferred. Minimum Experience/Knowledge:- 3-5 yearsâ experience in labor and employee relations in lead/management level required. Experience with unions and conducting employee investigations required. Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Proficient oral/written communication skills. Strong organizational, analytical/critical thinking, presentation and creative skills. Proficient in MS Office. Required License/Certification:- Fire and Safety Certification required. If employee does not have card upon hire one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. - SHRM Certification preferred.
