As a member of the management team, the VP of Human Resources is responsible for providing leadership in developing and executing HR strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization.Specifically, the VP of HR is the lead strategist of talent acquisition and management, succession planning, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, and HRIS.
The VP of HR is responsible for ensuring that the Company’s personnel practices are executed within ethical and legal guidelines.Additionally, and very importantly, is how the services are delivered promote grow a vibrant and dynamic corporate culture whose hallmark is innovation and customer service at the highest levels.

Steward of compliance, coordinates with company staff to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations and reports.
Participates in the development of the corporation's plans and programs as a strategic partner but particularly from the perspective of the impact on people.Translates the strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans.
Recommends organization strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives.
Consults with line management providing HR guidance when appropriate; including company strategic discussions, planning and achieving strategic objectives..
Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and partnering with legal and regulatory compliance as needed/required.
Develops and administers programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.
Provides day to day performance and talent management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) and employee development plans.
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation.
Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions, transfers.
Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning.
Identifies training needs for business units and individual leadership coaching needs.
Participates in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs. Follow-up to ensure training objectives are met.
Participates in executive, management, and company staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
Assists managers with the selection of external training programs and consultants.
Assists with the development of and monitors the spending of the corporate training budget. Maintains employee training records.
Supports company training needs including training needs assessment, new employee on-boarding orientation, management development, production cross-training, the measurement of training impact, and knowledge transference.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Education and/or Experience
Master’s degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or ten years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with organic growth as well as acquisitions is a plus.
Licenses, Registrations and Certifications
No Regulatory Licensures Required. SPHR and/or SCP Certification(s) Required
