The Vice President, Human Resources provides vision and leadership to ensure that human resources at Tufts is aligned with institutional priorities, attuned to changing workplace demographics and supportive of individual employees. With a proactive and thoughtful approach to people and organization, and with a strong focus on identifying, developing, and retaining talent, the VP HR will work with other members of the leadership team to continue to drive performance improvement and operational excellence throughout the institution. S/he will help build successful human resources programs around talent acquisition, talent management, learning & development, compensation & benefits, employee satisfaction, and diversity & inclusion. This role also oversees the administration of personnel and labor relations contracts/plans/policies for Tufts University employees, performing the duties with discretion and substantial involvement in the development, interpretation, and implementation of university policies and federal and state laws. The VP HR is a core member of the Tufts leadership team and is responsible for all aspects of human resources for the institution.
