Groton School, one of the world's top boarding schools, educates students in grades 8–12 on a beautiful campus less than an hour from Boston. In 1884, when Endicott Peabody founded Groton School, he modeled it on the best attributes of a family. Groton today remains committed to Peabody's emphasis on a close-knit and caring community that teaches values, character, and leadership along with rigorous academic work. The intentionally small community of 380 students means that every student is known by faculty who are dedicated to helping students reach their academic potential while also caring for their growth, development, and well-being. At Groton, education occurs in the classrooms, on the fields and courts, in the theater and art studios, in the dorms, and during conversations with faculty and friends.
