The Human Resource Director is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resources function.
Direct and monitor the employment and recruitment process to source, recruit, hire and retain qualified staff.
Develop Human Resources policies, procedures and programs.
Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations.
Manage employee relation issues, coordinating with legal counsel on all related issues and litigations.
Provide support, professional recommendation, and guidance to managers and employees on various employee issues.
Advise managers and employees in the interpretation of Agency policies.
Research, analyze, and make recommendations pertaining to compensation, employee related issues, benefits and other HR matters.
Develop and implement HR strategies and systems that positively influence and support the operations and growth objective of SGA.
Oversee benefit administration of Group Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, Life, 403(b) etc.).
Coordinate payroll and time keeping system.
Engage in effective communication processes with employees.
Maintain Workers Compensation and Unemployment Claims.
Manage vender relationships to effectively provide payroll, compensation and benefit administration.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required, related Master’s degree preferred
Seven to ten years of proven Human Resources experience.
Experience working with an HRIS system (Paylocity, ADP, etc.).
Sensitivity to cultural diversity is required. Ability to communicate and cooperate with diverse families, various professionals and community groups.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
Competent in Microsoft Office tools and inputting services in an online database.
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time.
Must be able frequently move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
Occasionally ascends/descends stairs.
At times may be required to lift up to 25 lbs. for various classrooms and events needs.
