Posting Summary: The Office of Human Resources is seeking a Human Resources Generalist who will be a part of a customer-focused Client Services Team and will provide direct support to assigned client groups in all matters related to the full employee life cycle.
Job Summary/Basic Function: Reporting to the Director, HR Services, the HR Generalist will be a part of a customer-focused Client Services Team and will provide direct support to assigned client groups in all matters related to the full employee life cycle. The HR Generalist will guide and assist their client groups in implementing effective human resource strategies to support overall organizational objectives. In addition to promoting positive employee relations through design, communication and interpretation of human resources policies and programs, they maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
The HR Generalist will be a team player, flexible in attitude who will have the ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and diplomacy at all times and be customer service driven with commitment to exceptional quality.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with Director, HR Services on various HR related projects in an effort to improve HR operations and services. Leads HR projects as necessary, working across multiple client groups. Serve as the HR Services Team subject matter expert for one HR specialty area, including providing training and support to other team members.
Execute key HR initiatives, providing available and responsive internal employee support, and drive HR functional excellence and process improvement.
Provide counsel, coaching and support on HR fundamentals to management and employees on employee relations matters. Coach managers in recruiting and staffing and employee engagement and development.
Support communication and administration of Human Resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education, training and experience and three years of related experience.

Be able to demonstrate excellent organizational, analytical, critical thinking, interpersonal, communication skills, be detail-oriented, self-motivated and capable of working under tight deadlines.
Must have strong initiative and judgement skills, knowledge of human resources programs, understanding of applicable laws and regulations, must have the ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and diplomacy at all times and be customer service driven with commitment to exceptional quality.
In addition, the successful candidate must be able to quickly learn systems, processes and procedures, work efficiently in a complex environment and be a team player with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships.
